I don't disagree. But I also stand by my initial statement: when these things happen, and they do albeit rarely, it doesn't seem to be a Republican supporter picking on a Democrat supporter. Would you agree this is a fair observation?
No, I have not seen a McCain supporter carve his initials into someone else's face. However, it's not like Obama supporters are all walking around with knives. Honestly, I don't think it says anything about the Dems or the Republicans, I think it says something about society. I am sure the women who was assualted is more concerned with her face being cut up than with what letter was carved into her, or who her attacker supports in the upcoming presidential election.
JhankG, I'll certainly grant that these type attacks are rare and do indeed represent the tiny minority of supporters.
Can you, however, think of any similar type attack perpetrated by a Republican candidate supporter on a Democrat candidate supporter from this year's election, or even going back through the 2000 election? Attacks that include physical attack, significant property damage (that is, beyond stealing campaign signs).
Folks say both side engage in such things, but I cannot recall reports of Republican supporters physically attacking a Democrat candidate's supporter. I can think of a number of instances going in the other direction, Democrat-on-Republican, in the current election cycle and going back to the 2000 and 2004 elections.
Wait wait wait...so you are saying a guy carving a "B" in a ladys cheek is just a minority of supporters for 0bama..but a guy in the crowd at a Palin Rally yells "Kill him" and thats the consensus on McCain/Palin supporters...gimme a break!
Whats good for the goose...well you know the rest!

well if anything this has shown us carving letters into black people is not a crime much less a hate crime (should work both ways), so if you can track him down, it would be a nice test to see if the media paints your act as a "hate crime".

most obama supporters are illiterate. Many obama folks would like to carve pictures of animals like the cavemen did on walls of caves, but the white ladies wont lay still long enough.
Maybe the B was for black, for black power! hate cime!
WTF!? Either she was upside down when this was done or this picture has been altered!
Or photo is simply flipped left-to-right.

Well, I thought I was pretty clear regarding actual, physical attacks on campaign supporters, not calling out something, but since you brought up the "Kill him" story, try this on for size:

“We have yet to find someone to back up the story.”

I still think this is a hoax. Hopefully the police will get video of this and prove me wrong. It's already bad the Dems plant their people at Palin rally's to yell racist crap.

Michelle Malkin seems to smell "hoax" here, and her instincts are usually pretty good. A dumbsh*t looking in a mirror would carve a letter backwards. I'm sure truth will out.
From a Malkin reader:
Quote:
And from a reader who is a police officer:
“I’m a cop - 8th year now - and this McCain supporter attack just didn’t pass the “smell test” as soon as I read about it.
At this point, I’ll guess the shiner was inflicted either by a friend willingly as part of this hoax or a boyfriend in a domestic dispute.
The “B” is far to shallow and clean to be taken seriously. Reminds me of the stab wounds that a “hero” would get when fighting off a phantom attacker - far to superficial to have been done in what is a fairly violent encounter.
Either way, I’m voting McCain
