It was more a play on the other thread talking about the average McCain/Palin supporters that the in-bread from croatia posted.

Seems as fair as saying the ones yelling the expletive and other derogatory comments during the Palin event, are examples of McCain's supporters.. Seems now it is your turn to accept just how derogatory it is to be stereotyped.

For the record, everybody on this board is well aware of the truth in the matter, I believe it was said as a retort to the thread about typical McCains supporter..
Edit: What Longtall said...

The story..

http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/...56/detail.html
Quote:
PITTSBURGH — A 20-year-old woman who was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield was also maimed by her attacker, police said.

Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard tells Channel 4 Action News that the victim was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday night outside of a Citizens Bank near Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street just before 9 p.m.

Richard said the robber took $60 from the woman, then became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim’s car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter “B” into her face, Richard said.

Richard said the woman refused medical treatment after the assault, which happened outside the view of the bank’s surveillance cameras.

The robber is described as a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. The man was wearing dark colored jeans, a black undershirt and black shoes.

I never argued that the average McCain supporter is derogatory in the other thread, so I am just clarifying for those of us who were not involved. Anyone with a bit of common sense knows that there are always a few rottom tomatoes in every crowd, and that goes for both Obama and McCain supporters. This is a sad story that involved someone off their rocker.

Here is a little test that will help you decide.
The answer can be found by posing the following question:
You're walking down a deserted street with your wife
and two small children.

Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife
comes around the corner, locks eyes with you,
screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the
knife, and charges at you.

You are carrying a Colt 1911A1, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?
......................... ......................... ...........
THINK CAREFULLY AND THEN SCROLL DOWN

Democrat's Answer:
Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire
him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock
the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind
of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be
content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my
family get away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have paint and weed day and
make this happier, healthier street that would
Discourage such behavior.
This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with
Some friends for few days and try to come to a consensus.

JhankG,
I'll certainly grant that these type attacks are rare and do indeed represent the tiny minority of supporters.

Can you, however, think of any similar type attack perpetrated by a Republican candidate supporter on a Democrat candidate supporter from this year's election, or even going back through the 2000 election? Attacks that include physical attack, significant property damage (that is, beyond stealing campaign signs).

Folks say both side engage in such things, but I cannot recall reports of Republican supporters physically attacking a Democrat candidate's supporter. I can think of a number of instances going in the other direction, Democrat-on-Republican, in the current election cycle and going back to the 2000 and 2004 elections.

That may be true, but this person still does not represent the average Obama supporter. Period.
