If you do not think that we experienced an economic recovery in the 80's vs the late 70's, then your partisanship is blinding you from seeing the facts.

Just go to the bureau of labor statistics and look at the major economic indications like inflation, unemployment, consumer confidence, productivity, etc from the mid-late 80's and compare that to when Carter was in office.

It's not that hard, but I don't expect you to bother.
