Suspected ACORN voter registration fraud... ACORN offices raided in Nevada...

Flash: ACORN offices in Las Vegas raided
By Michelle Malkin • October 7, 2008 02:18 PM
Just across the wire:
Nevada state authorities are raiding the Las Vegas headquarters of an organization that works to get low-income people to vote.

A Nevada secretary of state’s office spokesman said Tuesday that investigators are looking for evidence of voter fraud at the office of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.

No one was at the ACORN office when state agents arrived with a search warrant and began carting records and documents away.

Secretary of State spokesman Bob Walsh says ACORN is accused of submitting multiple voter registrations with false and duplicate names.
Stay tuned.
Via commenter Will Amos, more details:
Agents with the state attorney general’s and secretary of state’s offices served a search warrant this morning on the new ACORN headquarters. The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now office is located at 953 E. Sahara Ave.

The warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into suspected voter registration fraud. Employees are suspected of using false addresses or false names, including those of former Dallas Cowboys, according to the secretary of state’s office.

I'm ashamed to say I live in the state of Ohio.....they are also registering 17 year old incarcerated felons who will be 18 by election time but still in jail. Appearently there is a loop hole that says as long as your under 18 your crimes don't count, even though you were tried and convicted as an adult, and even serving adult crime time.

Makes me ill.....
the problem with that is that paying taxes could be considered a poll tax

Strange how the Democrats love to go on for days, how the 2000 and 2004 elections were "stolen" from them or whine about voter fraud and such.

Then...they have no problems rounding up homeless bums and winos and registering illegal immigrants to vote. They also push to allow felons/prisoners the right to vote. Amazing! As if THAT is perfectly normal and above board. Sure...

Do YOU want large numbers of criminals, bums, vagrants, winos and others with nothing to lose, determining our public policy and affecting our elections?

I don't.

So Kev, if McCain volunteers were doing this, you wouldn't have a problem with it?

I would have a problem with it no matter who was doing it. Hey, I know, let's go drive across the border and bring a bunch of Mexicans across and drive them to the polls too. That seems fair.

The thing is..it had to be HUUUUUGE for something like this to hit the MSM...even if one McCain voter tries to cheat we would hear it blasted from the top of the hills as loud as possible for the next decade!

If I am not mistaken according to Federal law you are required to show ID before you can vote in a Federal election.

Acorn pulled the same s**t here in Wa state to get Chris Gregoire elected. After the crying was over there were several sent to jail, but the damage is done. I think it is time that the right does the same, then it will have visibility and they will come down hard on this.
