I have worked with a girl for the past 7 years that has Down's. She is in her mid-40's, and she works for a living. Granted, she does not perform the most technical jobs here, but she is a very productive worker. She takes mass transit, and she is a happy girl. Glad her parents didn't take the easy way out.

Good neighbors and friends across the street have an adult son with Down's (Jerry), and he has made it into his 50s. He's a great "kid" and also goes to work each day; he's great with their dog, and very pleasant to be around. He's the third of three adult kids, and his two sisters stop by to help the parents.
