Guess Louisiana won't be caught off guard this time around.....

Assuming McCain and Palin get elected, and McCain decides to opt out after 4 years - for whatever reason - or even if he goes 8 years... and Palin remains a conservative-reformer type... wouldn't a Palin-Jindal ticket look great four or eight years down the road?

It would be much more refreshing to hear a neutral article say the same thing but with mature and professional verbiage. This comment sort of takes the wind out of the sails and makes the whole article sound more like propaganda than objective reporting: "As the nutroots wish ill on conservatives and pray to God for our demise, Gov. Jindal is on the ball, working feverishly to ensure the safety and comfort of his residents. No Blanco-like whining or finger-pointing. Action, not talk. I pointed to his 4am coastline evacuation order this morning."

Would the article be better if it had a pro Liberal slant?

I agree and no but the verbiage too, was pretty immature and that in itself brings one to discount the article from that point on.

I just tend to skip right over the slams and get to the facts if any are really presented, or the heart of the opinion.

Malkin is supposed to be biased. That's her schtick! Same as everyone else in talk radio on either side of the isle. Malkin's comments aside, I'm glad to see that LA has a Governor who's on the ball and ready to deal with Gustav. Unfortunately for NO, they still have that piece of garbage Nagin running the show. It still amazes me how that turdbucket got reelected after his total imcompetence handling Katrina.
Katrina was a complete cluster f*** and hopefully a wake up call for a lot of folks. I'm still skeptical of how comptetent FEMA handles disasters but I'm confident that Jindal won't be ordering police and NG to go door to door to confiscate legally owned firearms. At least the good and law abiding citizens of LA will be able to defend themselves from the subhuman douchebags that feel they have a right to rape, pillage, and plunder after a major disaster. I hope this go round, they're shot on sight!

We have always had a problem here of attacking the messenger rather than discussing the message. there is no doubt who Ms. Malkin plays to, but there is also no doubt that the message is spot on.

Exactly! Like Matt Blunt, Bob Taft and so many others. That (R) really is the mark of a great and responsible Governor. Being a (R) is the ticket to perfection.
