Who is the momma?

Daily Kos: State of the Nation

This is interesting, if true. I don't know why they went to so much trouble to hide it.

I really don't know what to make of it politically (if true). Probably doesn't help the campaign though.

That is one of the dumbest pieces of trash I've read in awhile and that says alot considering some of the links I've gotten to read from some people on this site.

Yeah, and the Enquirer is the Nation's best source of honest and balanced reporting.

The Daily Kos would not be my first, second, or even 376th choice of sources to post in the PV.

I found the article on digg. I'm not even sure I care one way or the other, but I thought it would make good PV fodder.

Daily Kos does have some good comments to go with the story though

The typical McCain must die, and other assorted niceties, and then in the middle you find truth.

professionals deal with this. It seems like we are looking for a reason, any reason, to tear this woman down. This has the potential to backfire on us. Leave her and her 4 month old baby/grand-baby alone.
DKos needs to rise above this....
I hope it does haunt them ... Oh and this is a diary entry NOT a whatever they do over there.

I was gonna say I feel dirty for even going to that website ... Yuck

Then I decided to go to the home page ...

McCain & Palin Rush To Gulf Coast To...Do Something

by georgia10

Sat Aug 30, 2008 at 09:26:44 PM PDT

It wasn't enough that the president Republican nominee jumped headfirst into the Russia/Georgia crisis, going so far as to dispatch his Secretary of State Senators Lieberman and Graham to Georgia on his behalf.

No, now, as Hurricane Gustav roars towards the U.S., the Republican president nominee and his newly minted Vice-President running mate are rushing down to Gulf Coast to...well, do something:
ST. PAUL, Minn. - Likely GOP presidential nominee John McCain and his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, are traveling to Mississippi on Sunday to check on people getting prepared for Hurricane Gustav. [...]
Aides say McCain and his wife Cindy will join Palin in traveling to Jackson, Miss., Sunday at the invitation of Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour because of concerns about people threatened by the storm [...]
The McCains and Palin will receive a briefing at the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency — a permanent operations center monitoring hurricane response
Given that, well, the real President isn't heading down there, and since I suspect the Governor of Alaska and the Senator from Arizona probably don't have a lot by way of hurricane disaster relief to offer, one would think that this trip were nothing more than a photo opportunity aimed at demonstrating that the former mayor of Wasilla, Alaska can at least exude the aura of a federally elected official, while proving that McCain can understand how scared someone can be about losing their one and only home...if he tries really, really hard.

But really, McCain has already told us what he would do when another natural disaster hit the U.S. He wouldn't laugh on the tarmac holding a giant birthday cake. No, nature has given McCain a mulligan, and he's going to take advantage of it, dammit. McCain and Palin will rush bottled hot water to dehydrated babies, because that's what presidents and vice-presidents do in times like these. Now smile for the cameras.
I still feel dirty for going to that website ... Double Yuck

its absolutely sick. have you seen geraldo in the wee am? he's on the air and they're salivating over this storm. i honestly beleive that several of the newscasters i'm seeing are EXCITED that the storm is likely to hit new orleans and add insult to injury.

one of the meterologists missed a hard break and had to be reminded that they HAD to go to commercial - because she was sooo wrapped up in the possibl edoom and gloom.

yea.. its a photo op... for the mass market media.

Palin's grandson

This photograph was printed on March 9 of this year.

Bristol is pregnant in these pictures. She is not carrying belly fat, which grows outwardly wide, and does not become dome-shaped. That's because fat is generally evenly distributed around the abdomen and a fetus is not. Bristol's chest is sticking out, a normal body reaction when sucking in stomach muscles.

This photo was taken on March 14 2008, more than seven months into the pregnancy. Which she wasn't.
