I do think children can suffer if the mom is a driven career woman, which it sounds like Palin is, and they are left with nannies or babysitters.
Gee ... Did you ever think that maybe she see's serving her country as a duty that cannot be ignored.

You don't know a thing about this woman, other than what todays news has highlighted, and you are ready to pass judgement .... At least XDTALK members have a year plus of your crap to help us determine how we feel about you.

Gosh, isn't it really a lot for a man to run for office when they have new kids too?

Early Congratulations!!!
You have just made it into an exclusive club that has one member ... Every woman I know would be a little more than upset with your attitude toward women and their place in life.
Palin has a 4-month old baby and and she's going to be on the campaign trail? Call me old fashioned, really old fashioned, but what about holding off on political ambitions that keep you from home until children are older? I know this view will be unpopular.

The baby has Down Syndrome as well. I don't know, to be away from home for long stretches of time, not being with the mom. This isn't about women not working and staying home. I'm talking about the mom not being with the baby for long periods of time.

I think absent parents are one of the main reasons we have so many problems in this country.

Once again 5,707 post on this forum and not one intelligent thing to say.... It is so sad that your life has come to this. You truly are pathetic and a Troll. You are a socialist at best and a weak willed lemming that only knows what you are told to think at worst, and I think the worst of you.

This sounds exactly like I expected it would.

Great role model you present.
Personally I prefer not to judge someone I know so little about.
What do you know about downs syndrome ??
What do you know about raising children??
Do you have personal experience with either ??

So, there shouldn't be a problem ... She's already celebrated her 20th anniversary with her high-school sweetheart.
