I always figured Obama for being an old-time Chicago pol and this choice proves it. Biden, for all his impressive foreign policy background, is a longtime Washington insider.

I always figured Obama's beautiful change rhetoric was just a cynical political play, and this just proves it. How can a guy who's going to change Washington as we know it do so with a guy who's been a senator since the age of 29?

A woman, another minority, an outsider? No. That would have been change.

It shows that Obama alone had no chance to beat a weak Republican in John McCain in a Democratic year. For all the talk, there was a real weakness in the Democratic candidate and he proved it with his VP pick. I know it's all about winning, but when you create a candidacy based on a certain set of fresh ideas, you expect something more. As Robert Redford's character, who went from idealist to politician inside a few months, asks toward the end of the 1972 film "The Candidate": "What do we do now?" I guess the safe, if cynical answer is: pick Joe Biden.

Let's refine that slogan: "A couple of Washington insiders you can't believe in."

FOX just stated that three weeks ago in an interview with Alan Colms ... Biden said he would turn done a VP slot ... I wonder what changed

Once upon a time ... This guy named Barry changed his name and became a Rck Star Politician ... Then he selected a dude for his VP that brought two failed attempts at President, a history of slamming the bosses credentials, offering praise to the opposition, and nullifying the mantra of change by bringing old school DC squarely into the Obama camp ...
