Wink Democrats Develop Keen Sense Of Morality?

I believe the democrats have suddenly developed a keen sense of morality.

John Edwards has been banned from making a speech at the democratic convention for having an affair and lying about it.

In his place Bill Clinton will be speaking.

What am I missing?????

The Democratic Party will show its sudden sense of morality when it tries to break from the Union again.

Politicians and morals? I don't think so.

The only difference I can see (and its thin...I know it) is that Bill Clinton was piled on so heavily by Ken Starr, Newt Gingrich (who was busy with his own tail on the side, mind you) and all the heavy focus on the Lewinsky fiasco.

Edwards, though having an affair and trying to deny it until it got too heavy to hide, has a wife that is suffering from cancer at the same time he is tom-catting around.

I am sure to many that the vision of Mrs. Edwards suffering cancer while he is diddling that film maker sticks in the craw of most of the DNC biggies moreso than the Clinton/Lewinsky affair. Hey, its their value system....not mine. I am just trying to make sense of it!

Ok, so Clinton committed perjury...which (if you ask me) is much more serious...but the DNC biggies don't see this. They look at Clinton and only see a man that was "picked on" by mean ol' Ken Starr and Company. They still like him, know he is a big draw for speeches and is very good at giving speeches.

So thats my theory. That and the possiblilty that they still feel a soft spot for Hillary and want to do something to "make nice" with the Clintons because like it or not, they ARE still huge power factors in the Democrat Party.

So theres my theory...if you want to call it that. Feel free to poke holes in it because its only an educated guess.

Yeah - good points all. The latest 'buzz' is Billery for Obama's VP - which would be a MAJOR mistake on his part. Folks who stand in the way of the Clinton's ambitions have a way of 'disappearing' under very curious circumstances........
