Agreed!
But without a spokesman getting in front of the camera ... The message is now limited to those who already listen .... He hurt his own message, plain and simple .... It sucks!

I'll never forget the question "Are you electable, Sir ??
The problem is few people heard it, and fewer still hear the message today.

Pickens can buy airtime and develop advertising .... Where is the message delivery from the Revolution, and is the message so important that a Presidency can be cast aside to the highest bidder just to make a statement ??

How much of your money did you donate to third party candidates to make them viable candidates compared to the Republican and Democratic candidates?
An appropriate amount according to my budget. And talk is anything but cheap when it comes to capturing peoples minds.Just look at what impact Ron Paul's message had and continues to have. That was really kind of far from the point though.

I contend that the people are being spoken to rather than the people have spoken.

So the bottom line remains... you have two candidates who CAN win and several who CANNOT win. Make your choice on election day. But if the issue is reforming the system... then DONATE $$$... not talk. Only money walks the walk in this country.
What about what's in your head when you vote? What I am talking about is peoples voting practices. If I had a vote for every conservative who wishes for a better candidate but "oh well what ya gonna do" I'd probably have enough votes to win an election. The real problem is misinformation by the media and by our own mouths in sad compliance. There is far more keeping the bipartisan system in check than donations.

Absolutely, and that is why Ron has ticked me off .... We needed a voice, and he filled the position ... Many ... Who once thought him crazy, had a change of heart ... It's a real shame the people who would like to see real change are unable to find a central voice

Hello, I'm Dr. OEFM and after examining America I have discovered a brain tumor. That brain tumor (Washington D.C.) is incurable and any surgery would kill America instantly. I can only recommend you make an appointment with hospice care to make ready for a final departure for the greatest country anyone has ever lived in. Six weeks, six months, six years, who knows but the one thing I do know is that America is dieing a slow terrible death. Funeral arraingments are pending.

I'm not sure why RP dropped out. All that I can tell you is that there is a choice come election day and if the fascistic media lets him into the debates it will certainly prove interesting.

Not that I wouldn't be looking forward to a non-subsitive debate between old Liberal and Liberaler.

I've asked WHY he quit, but no one can give me a valid reason, including the Ron Paul campaign.

FWIW, I'm still a little ticked off at him.
I would suggest that he knew that his national candidacy was going nowhere, but he did have a hot contest for his Congressional seat. His message would be difficult at best to get out, if he lost this election.
While i was disappointed that he dropped out, the message in my opinion was the priority. His run allow that to reach a national audience, and it will continue to do so.

All true. This election is the first in my lifetime where I felt like voting would be the equivalent of gagging myself with my finger- only w/o the satisfaction of expelling the very thing that made me wanna puke in the first place.

The two party system has indeed devolved into chameleon government. The aftermath should prove interesting, if not pleasant.

I don't know why you guys think everything is doom and gloom or why you are surprised that we have the candidates we do. Both Obama and McCain are clear reactions to George Bush and the his Republican Congress. The country in general is very unhappy with the Bush administration. It is also displeased with the failure of the conservative Republican party to effectively govern and to express in action the values they spouted so loudly through their mouths.

We don't like hypocrisy or incompetence. We got both from our Neo-Con government under Bush and the Republican Congress... so the worm is turning. Obama is the Democratic result.

McCain is the Republican party asking itself... who can compete against the Democrats when our castle of sand is being washed back into the sea by waves of negative reaction to Bush?

The ultra conservatives can't win. The country is too pissed off at them for screwing up when they had all the power. So the party had to select someone much closer to center to have any chance at all of salvaging some power in the elections.

Is it the end of the world?? No. Life will go on. The buses will still run. The garbage will get picked up. Hannity and Colmes will still duke it out on Fox and Chris Mathews will still delight the MSNBC devotees etc etc etc.

Maybe you all ought not to worry so much. See who is running, choose one to vote for, and go out shooting. Chill out a little and enjoy life. It's still good.
