Obama/Biden?

Now the Obama VP buzz is centered around Biden. I guess because of the Georgian crisis people think Obama needs an experienced foreign policy hand. I like Joe, but he can be a showboater. I have a hard time seeing him as #2. Even though Cheney has been thought of as the true power of Bush/Cheney, Biden is not a behind-the-scenes guy like Cheney. He would want to be out front taking the credit for whatever.

Obama needs someone like Jimmy Carter. Foreign policy we can believe in.

I agree that Biden would be a logical choice as far as foreign policy experience. Other than the fact that he suffers from terminal "foot in mouth" disease, I've always kind of liked him.

I still think Bayh makes a better match for Obama, despite the anti-war left's opposition to Bayh.

This is an interesting idea... Who would be an appropriate contemporary "Carter"? This could work.

Wonder if Harry Reid would consider it? He would be good, but I'm not sure of how much foreign policy experience he has.

Along with gas lines and 22% interest rates to go with it!

Bayh, TBH, Obama is going to pick someone with a really generic last name. Obama/Bayh doesn't sound American and it doesn't sound presidential.

There is a sizeable chunk of america that will vote for whatever they like best. Obama/Bayh 2008 doesn't scream americanism.

whether thats right or wrong is for another discussion.

It's soooo about Zerobama that his choice shouldn't matter.

But it will be nice if he pickes someone who can answer a direct question, and not sidestep stuff that can be answered with a yes or no response. That kind of person would provide a nice contrast to Zero.
