of course it is... why Bush was brought into this argument is beyond me, but she and others seem to do it all the time.

throwing Bush into a discussion is an old liberal tactic to get attention taken away from the issue at hand - Obama, his Majesty.

There was a reference to Bill Clinton and he's not running this year either.

I don't know that the majority of Americans "don't like" Obama. I think many people are wary of electing a black man and one whose background and even his name are different than any previous president.

It does seem to be the fallback, I have nothing else to offer argument.

In fact, even Bree said that she thought she would "like" Obama better than McCain but wasn't planning to vote for him because of where he stands on the issues.

That's right, because everyone who is against Obama is a racist.
I think it's time for the ban-hammer to come crashing down.

You are mistaken, sir. Someone brought up Bill Clinton, so I mentioned Bush. Someone said that the majority of people didn't vote for Bill Clinton. One could say that Bush wasn't actually elected by the American people in 2000, where Gore won the popular vote and Bush was basically put into office by the Supreme Court. Would that be considered judicial activisim???

Another huge misconception by the Obama lovers: If you are not for Obama, you are not liking his odd name or (drum roll please) his skin color.

Nonsense. Further proof that the left thinks the average American is a stupid, prejudiced and scared hick.

Why is it that we cannot dislike Obama for his views and policies?

Bill Clinton is as white as I am. So was John Kerry. There was no way I was going to vote for those two, either. So there goes your wonderful theory....shot to pieces.

gotta play the race card now...can't the majority of Americans NOT like obama because of his stance on issues? why the hell does it always have to come down to his skin color (or his "funny" name) on EVERYTHING. You must think most Americans are so stupid and shallow that they won't vote for someone on skin color. You have a typical elitest attitude.

If this is an Anti-Obama site, you'd not be allowed to post anymore Etta

I think much of the hysteria people in these parts seem to have for Obama is unfounded. However, he comes from a state where there are very strict gun laws in some areas (see: Chicago) and he has said he's in favor of a Clinton-esque assault weapons ban. That's not going to be very popular with folks here.

I don't plan to make guns one of my top voting priorities, personally, and I kind of think it's silly that some do. a) Realistically, the gov't is not going to take away guns - not even close b) there are more important qualities I seek in a leader during these times than what he feels should be done about personal firearms.
