Well, it's your thread ... Post a solution!!!

Just because it's easy doesn't make it right. Oil is the easy solution, not the right one. As soon as you guys realize that, than America can start making real progress.

You can drill to your hearts content, but oil isn't going to last forever. Oh, and electric motors have been around for a long time. It's just a matter of convincing Detroit we need them. Unless you like kissing Saudi ass?
Have you ever been to a farm? Have you ever seen the equipment necessary to feed 300 million people? None of it can be run on electric motors and batteries. Not the tractors, the combines, the semis that haul it to the elevator, not the trains that haul it to the factories.

Electric motors and batteries don't even begin to scratch the surface of the power requirements needed to run the whole farm or move the product to the market.

If the people actually living in New York , LA, Boston and other super-metro areas could get away from driving SUVs and sedans to work every day and take mass transit or at least car pool that would help the situation, but we'll still need gas and oil.

****....

Not once was the solution ever mentioned...

Which for the record is a vague one-liner "CHANGE"

Seriously though...

For the sake of this train wreck of a thread.

what about Waste-VO as an offset?

Supposedly the US alone produces 10+ billion liters of waste-VO annually..

Just trying to be objective here... no real thought has been put into this "solution" just trying to add another train to the mix.

I would drive the crap out of a vehicle that ran on my trash.

I'm gonna ask it straight out...Once oil hits 6 dollars a gallon, what do you propose we transition to? Straight answer...here is you chance to go on the record. What do we transition to as a country?
