MSNBC's Brewer: Southerners are Racist

Just another on the list of things the media loves to stereotype or make false assumptions about: the Southern States and Southern people.

Yep...right up there with oil companies, the economy and ...of course...guns. These are things that big media loves to look down its enlightened, snobbish nose at. Big media's comments on these topics are as predictable as the sun rising in the east.

What were you expecting them to say about the South?

Odd thing is that many of them live in the South. I run into people from northern states that have moved here all the time. Most have no intentions of ever going back up north. By way of comparison, I have NEVER heard any native Texan tell me "I cannot wait to move to New York or Mass. - I am dying to get up there."

Now...what does that tell me?

the south is solid conservative, that's why the left and the media hate it so. The south delivers each time.

I'm a native, big city new Yawka, and the first time i went down south, i was in total shock and awe. i have never met such friendly people.

Heck, I don't give a flip where the guy came from biologically or geographically...I wouldn't vote for the dude due to his platform/cloud (should a platform be called a "cloud" if in fact there is no substance to it whatsoever?).

Yup, I am from the southern U.S. and I am aware that people could call me a racist for the above thoughts...they could also call me a narrow-minded moron, an idiot, or a useless piece of conservative garbage as well but in all honesty I can only laugh at their self-indulgent belief that I actually give a damn what they have to say about anything.

because obama is an empty suit, the media and the left know any thinking american will not vote for him, so they have to pull plays from their old books and even make up new ones in an attempt to make people feel guilty for being white and not liking a black man running for president.

I'm a yankee and i wouldn't vote for him. I don't care what color the person is, i look at their record and character. I'd vote for Bobby Jindal in a heartbeat.

I seem to recall a group of folks in the late 1700's that clung to their guns and their trust in God and it worked out pretty good for them...for a couple hundred years anyhow.


Hollywood, the media and the fan base of Sharpton and Jackson have clung to the stereotypes put on the south for many years and will continue to do so for as long as there is a South to attempt to keep the spotlight off their own rhetorical, symbolic rather than substantial ideology.
