I'll be in the city on that date. But I'll be waiting for a plane to leave that city really quickly so I can get to the OTHER gun-hating city, D.C., and bitch about more than just a single Amendment's violation.

Everyone will be disarmed in that event. And beaten by the Chicago city police.

The only people expected to carry firearms that day are the Chicago Police, the Vice Lords, the Aldermen and women, and the Latin Kings.
Everyone else is at their mercy. actually that is a pretty funny question... Yes the city of Chicago would recognize your out of state CCW. They would recognize it with a free trip via squad car to the lovely Cook County lockup where via video a judge will set your bail at around $25,000. Then when you get to court the states prosecutors will offer to put you up in County lockup again, for free, for around 364days. Meanwhile, if you have a decent attorney, he/she will ask for continuances until they can finally juice the right person in the states office who will lower the charges from a felony to a misdemeanor. This is after 12-18 months of going to court at said lovely Cook County court at 26th and California and $1000's possibly Tens of $1000's of lawyers fees... because even though the stay at lockup is free, it's not the Hilton and you don't want to spend 5 minutes in that urine and sh*t soaked hellhole. Money well spent for a lovely concealed carry day in ChiKago. Ask me how I know...

For too many years I worked in some 'areas' of the city that were less than ideal. Robert Taylor homes. Altgeld Gardens. All lovely Chicago Housing Authority properties. Police officers wore flack jackets not just vests. Too many of them told me it was crazy that I did what I did. I had no choice. I had decisions to make. And I made them. And I received the full wrath of the anti-gun wrath that is what the Daley machine stands for. I think you can figure out the rest. Thankfully, felony charges didn't hold and I was left with misdemeanors which allow me to retain my 2nd Amendment rights. Well, the little piece of that right that Illinois hasn't dissected.
