Obama's 143 Days of Senate Experience

This lady has a point.

Posted by Cheri Jacobus
Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama
have in terms of actual work days? Not much.

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United
State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming
a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days
of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the
Senate was actually in session and working.

After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he
was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free
World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK
and Ronald Reagan.

143 days -- I keep leftovers in my refrigerator longer
than that.In contrast, John McCain's 26 years in Congress,
22 years of military service including 1,966 days in captivity
as a POW in Hanoi now seem more impressive than ever.
At 71, John McCain may just be hitting his stride.

Think about IT!!!

That's what I've been saying about Obama all along.

It's like being commissioned as a 2LT and after 6 months being asked to take command of Ft. Bliss.

It's just not a good idea.

He doesn't need experience. He just wants to change this country. Come on...

Boy, can he deliver a speech.
We don't need experience we need communication.

I'm not much of a McCain fan, but what impresses me more than his military and political experience is that he has made his sons earn their keep and has not sheltered them from Iraq during their military service. I wonder how many other Senators and Presidential candidates would send their sons to Iraq and not make a point to tell everyone? I read a story recently about McCain taking his youngest son, who is a Marine, to meet with a lady that lost her son in Iraq just so she would understand that he knew what it meant to have one of your kids in harms way.

Excellent point that few seem to talk about, especially the media.

This is not change and hope , which, BTW, can be shortened to "chope". Please stay away from anything substantive when talking about the Pope of Hope. If we are to get the messiah elected, we must constantly focus on chope and not on facts or positions on the issues.

If Obama gets elected, I will be sad and upset for about 3 or 4 hours. Then, I am going to man up to it, sit back, and watch for results. WHOEVER gets elected has a very undesirable job ahead of them. Once I accept Obama, if it happens, it will be very interesting to see how he delivers on his promises.
