This is another good example of how armed citizens (be they civilians or off-duty police officers or soldiers) save lives.

I read a few other reports, and it doesn't sound like it was CCW. The reports that I read said that the citizen (actually an off duty trained soldier) actually disarmed an officer because he wasn't shooting and shot the terrorist with the officers weapon.

Taking matters into his own hands it seems.

Good for him!!!

Here is the on live leak, you can clearly see that the "civilian" in blue did the shooting, and not the officer shown at the beginning of the video.

Yeah, I knew that the guy in the blue did the shooting. I couldn't see from the video that he disarmed a police officer.

I thought it was an off-duty soldier (who often are required to carry their guns with them where ever they go) that did the shooting.

Oh well. I guess I was wrong. Guns still save lives.

You may even be right, I have heard different stories.

Like you said...It doesn't matter if it was CCW or not, the point is made. The gun saved the day!
