My only question is this:

If oil prices rise because because fear in the market over a oil workers broken shoe lace,

Why didn't oil fall dramatically today on news that Iraq wants to put out 2Mb/d within the next 4 years?

Because oil companies have a scarcity mentality?

My guess Dan is that even if the domestic roadblocks were out of the way, this scenario would remain the same.

FWIW, I've been kinda changing my mind on exactly what I feel is behind what is going on in general with Oil lately. That was the reason for the question. I really was asking for the rationale, not trying to give a hard time.

I appreciate that. My rationale has been pretty much the same from the beginning.

Yep...damn those Anglo-Americans!

Lets see...Exxon Mobil is based in the USA..but..

BP is a British oil company...

Vitol is a Swiss oil company...

Total is a French oil company...

Shell is a Dutch oil company...

Dome is a Jamacian oil company...

Hmm...many of the big players are...drum roll please....NOT Anglo Americans! Surprise!

You're hatred and ideaology is getting in the way of the facts...as usual. Typical of those on the left.

LOL

Does Conoco/Phillips still do any business in the Middle East? I have a great uncle who worked for Conoco for years who in the 70's and 80s was always going over there on business.
