Question SCOTUS and DC Gun Ban?

Hey all,
Been camping in the boondocks of Michigan's beautiful UP... no computer, no cell phone, no newspapers, radio or TV... haven't been plugged in since June 13th, and just got back in town to a pile of newspapers, mail and bills... and about a thousand emails.

There just too much stuff to wade through... at least until the bills get paid and the mail/email gets sorted through... what happened re DC's gun ban? What did the SCOTUS decide?

They upheld the lower courts decision that the DC gun ban was unconstitutional...in a nutshell. NRA and other groups have filed lawsuits against Chicago and San Francisco regarding the bans in place there.

it only applied to using guns in the house for self defense (so far) and it upheld that DC has to issue a license to Heller for the firearm. DC might do something nazi with the new licensing system to make it an absolute hell to get.

Might? I think that is an understatement. I am sure it will be nearly impossible to get the gun registered.

I think that they need to be careful here, or they may cross the line on the "infringement" issue.

Of course they will, its all they know how to do on this issue. I see it very likely that they will be sued again, but we'll see.
