OK, so at least one Obama supporter has stated that it is easy to criticize a candidate .... So no criticism, PLEASE.

I would like this thread to be about the reasons to vote for Obama.

So supporters .... Weight in make your case .... Take me to school and show me why Obama is the right choice.

Please ... Stay away from the temptation to start a thread asking for the same from McCain until this thread has run it's course.

I think you should vote for him because he's the first viable Black candidate for POTUS. I think you should vote for him because social programs that don't help society need more of your tax money which you will gladly pay the government for. I think you should vote for him because he has no experience, which means he isn't tainted by big government in anyway. Don't believe all the Illinois political scofflaws and evil doers.. Obama has nothing to do with Blagojevich, Rezco, Ayers, Daley, none of them. I think you should vote for him because his governmental ways will protect you from terrorism. He will go visit all the bad dictators and make everything alright. He does possess some type of magical, mythical speaking skills, as you know. He will charm the pants off of the likes of Admendinijad and Mr. Kim Jong Il. He will protect you by taking away those nasty assault weapons and of course pistols, shotguns, and rifles, because they are too dangerous, especially in big cities. I think his ex-reverend, his current wife and all those he associates with are excellent Americans... the kind of people who are proud to call themselves Americans... Ya' know....

If you get the chance, ask an Obama supporter to describe just ONE thing he has done that qualifies him to be the leader of the most powerful country in the world.

Insist on a fact, not some vague "change" reply!

His VP candidate might make a good President. Say Ted Strickland or Bill Richardson.

imho, he is the lesser of two evils (or three...although ron paul is like the nader of this election). i prefer his environmental policy over mclame's, and i prefer to protect the right of choice related to abortion (not that i support aborting babies, but who am i to tell you what you can and cannot do?). yeah, i said it. i'm pro-choice. his lack of experience makes me nervous, but our current president has proven that you can be a total F'up and still function...albeit poorly. the president is not the be all and end all of our political system, just one component. remember the whole "checks and balances" thing? you conservatives will still have a strong presence in the supreme court. that is all. carry on with the sarcasm...

If you want high taxes, regulation, control, and the chance to benefit from the welfare state, vote Obama in 2008.
