Commentary: Where is the "outrage" over the mid-west flooding?
When New Orleans was under water and people were trapped (albeit because of corrupt local leaders), it was ALL BUSH's fault and Bush this, Bush that. Bush hates black people, Bush blew up the levies, Bush made Katrina because he didnt sign on to Kyoto - typical lib crap.
It took less then 24 hours for New Orleans to become the poster child for another liberal blame game. So, where are these people now that much of the mid west is under water? Could it be that its because the flooded areas are in mostly "red states" and are made up mostly of "white people" who had competent local leadership? Peoples lives were ruined, their possessions and livelihoods wrecked, but the media has not paid attention to this event with the same energy as they did with Katrina. Now, it Chicago were flooded, or some other bastion of liberal decay...the media and the left would be crying bloody murder like they did after Katrina... Is the left behind closed doors looking for a way to "blame Bush" and turn this disaster into a political game? Perhaps. I just wish the same people who had bleeding hearts for New Orleans would do the same for the people in the Mid-West.

Heard one lady on the radio today say that everyone there is doing just fine. They're all rallying together. She even laughed at the CNN piece about "angry" midwesterners. She said they always manage to find a couple of nutjobs and portray them as speaking for everyone.
Hell, she even said no one was bitching about FEMA either.
