Good Expenditure of Federal Funds?
Is this one of those things the government SHOULD be spending money on? On the surface it seems like a good idea instead of relying totally on a space based system. I also understand that it would primarly be a domestic thing, and not world-wide. Just seems like its good to have a back-up plan.

Interesting. Maybe while they're at it, they can upgrade the 50-year-old commercial air traffic control system we're still using. It's a miracle people aren't getting killed with the way things are stretched to their limits right now.

Was it Mark Twain who had a quote about impeaching Congress and starting over? That's what they deserve if sports controversies take precedence over energy policy and infrastructure.
