LOL I love people arguing that Barr is more viable than McCain. Nice to see passion about a 3rd candidate but "viability" is a word you should steer clear from when trying to garner support hehe.

Honestly, I do like some of Obama's ideas and think he could be a positive impact. I like more of McCain's ideas at the moment, though. If Obama didn't hate guns, it would make it a hard choice indeed.

I will likely still vote for McCain, but I'm already prepared to accept Obama as Pres. He appeals to such a broad part of the population, he'll be hard to beat. Too bad that broad population isn't as sensible as us XDTalk folks... har har har

I'm fairly certain that Obama's supporters are just as diverse (some may argue more so) than McCain's supporters. Calling them "sheep" and generalizing their views is as unfair as saying all of McCain's supporters are gun-toting war mongers. It's simply not true, and it's an unfair allegation.

My hope is that folks really do dig into the issues and make BOTH candidates work to prove their positions and commit. I'm sick of politicians saying things to get elected then being let off the hook once they land in office.

Obama's getting by with a lot of charisma, and the US has been deprived of charismatic leadership for some time now. His popularity is very easy to understand. But he won't be able to get by on charisma alone. Unless he's going to put some hard logic behind his plans, he won't get my vote. For instance, I'd like to see him logically explain how he's going to fund universal healthcare without bankrupting the country.

Didn't Clinton get elected because some folks wasted their vote on Ross Perot (sp)? I only liked Ron Paul, but why waste a vote? I surely do not want to see Obama win.
