Al-Qaeda's Quest for Nuclear Weapons

Al-Qaeda's Quest for Nuclear Weapons

Rick Moran
A disturbing piece in today's FrontPage.com by Christopher Carson that traces the efforts of al-Qaeda to acquire a nuclear weapon to hit the United States:

Carson then details the very serious efforts of al-Qaeda to acquire the materials and knowledge to build nuclear weapons - a total of 7 to be detonated simultaneously in 7 American cities.

Such an attack would finish the US as a major power for at least a decade and could result in an economic meltdown we'd be even longer in recovering. Millions could be killed instantly with many millions more made into refugees fleeing the blast zones. The resulting chaos would snap the bonds of civilization and much of the country would descend to unimaginable depths.

Wow, this sounds like a very good reason to kiss Iraq goodby and start building up our border/port security.
F that country!

Bush Co. has invested heavily at the expense of the United States.

Remember that if something ever happens here at home

The potential millions dead is just the kind of fearmongering that furthers the reasons to get the hell out of that area and start focusing on our own country.

China and Russia are pissed over our intentions to place a missle defense system in Europe! What do you think would happen if they joined forces and decided to come to the United States ???

Thanks for the article tmorr37
Sell your Iraqi investments now!
Stories like this cause me to feel even more strongly that we need to focus on the United States.

hand it to Obama to give Osama some nukes so "he'll leave us alone" - we show "strength and courage when we speak with our enemies" - "yes we can!"

They'd have to nuke us into useless glass first. Otherwise (despite leftist efforts to the contrary) there are still enough guns, ammo, and "non-sheepified" people in our great nation that any invader would be catching bullets from behind every rock, tree, and building. The house-to-house fighting in Iraq would be an airsoft game in comparison to the guerilla war that would break out in an invasion of the continental U.S., and the major powers know it.

Conquering economically, however, is another story altogether...

Save the Americans--end abortion now.

I hope you know that I completely agree. If they hit land ... They would not get very far, unless as you said they were lobbying stuff and flying over. But even then I'm sure I could get a few of them and if the ammo runs out .... I've got a lot of rocks, sticks and some choice HomeDepot/Lowes stores to supplement the fertilizer our farming industry manufacturers

But economically ... I'm not gonna be able to do much beyond providing free labor toward the effort.

Yup the neighborhood is bad out there. Death, Murder, Fires, But don't worry about it. Just lock the door and all will be fine.
Nice plan you have there.

So focusing on U.S. security is a low priority ???
I sure am glad my financial portfolio isn't driving my decisions about security.

But what if the enemy is within? or short range missiles on several cargo ships with a 200 mile range. we would have trouble knowing who or where this attack came from. Then what? With 3 to 5 Cities destroyed we go out and look to arrest someone as the Left suggests.
