Nice back peddle.
Are you going to address the issues or keep spinning ??

I mean really, you posted something that makes me want to focus on U.S security and now you're spinning in circles and asking that I agree we should defend the world. Make up your mind. Who/where are the priorities ???

They tell you they are not going to tax your family.
No, they’re just going to tax “businesses”! So unless you buy something from a “business”, like groceries or clothes or gasoline … or unless you get a paycheck from a big or a small “business”, don’t worry … it’s not going to affect you.

It's a good thing we've got our borders locked down I expect little from the democrats and am rarely disappointed. But I expect a stronger position from republicans regarding our national security. Unfortunately both parties are apathetic about illegal immigration and securing our nation's borders. It's just a matter of time before we get struck again. Not sure it will be nukes, but I feel confident it will be due to our porous borders.

why only have one level of defense. Have we learned nothing from the Magnot line - there is no fixed defense that can't be penetrated - particulary by an individual with a backpack. These bombs won't be brought in thru customs - border security of this type is next to impossible.

That is why it's necessary we strike anywhere anytime we have intel and the capability. There's a reason why AQ is on the run and hasn't been successful in mounting another attack - it's because they are on the defense on all fronts possible.

That's to Bush's credit.

F that country!

Bush Co. has invested heavily at the expense of the United States.

Remember that if something ever happens here at home

The potential millions dead is just the kind of fearmongering that furthers the reasons to get the hell out of that area and start focusing on our own country.

China and Russia are pissed over our intentions to place a missle defense system in Europe! What do you think would happen if they joined forces and decided to come to the United States ???

Thanks for the article tmorr37
Sell your Iraqi investments now!
Stories like this cause me to feel even more strongly that we need to focus on the United States.

EXACTLY! That's where they were, they're now in Iraq. Just further evidence that we should hit them whereever they are - they can mount attacks regardless of our 'border security' - as most of the pilots were legal entry.

Legs getting tired from that backpedaling yet?

Lets review:
1. We did, in fact, overthrow the Iranian government in 1953.
2. We did, in fact, give aid, munitions and military support to Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war.
3. We did, in fact, arm the Mujahideen during Operation Cyclone.

I can think of at least one of those instances where people were not, in fact, going about their lives as if nothing was going on. Perhaps you remember it, I believe it was called the Cold War.

Again, get your facts straight.

Kind of like many are right now.
I, for one am not running around waiting for the sky to fall. But I am concerned over the seeming lack of concern over security. This administration appears to be more concerned with the safety and security of another nation. But I also realize this is a false accusation. This administration is attempting to fix the things they were advised would be broken.
The Katrina victims were ignored until the press started speaking up, and then the finger pointing started over who should be responsible. That instilled a lot of confidence

But back on topic. You posted an article about Al-Qaeda's Quest for Nuclear Weapons. Then when I suggested this as justification to focus on the security of the United States you started spinning and using diversionary methods to change the subject.

No wonder you think

Perhaps you should just read for a while and attempt to learn a few things, or take your own advise and stop trying to educate the uninformed people who also post things of interest. Possibly ending your time in the political section will give you a chance to catch up on some history, or make another investment.
