I sure am glad my financial portfolio isn't driving my decisions about security.

Right, so focus on the United States.
It seems simple enough.

No focus all all fronts, here and around the world
the world is a much more dangerous place

We never cared what the did in the middle east. after all what could they do. Just riding around on the camels waving a knife.
Now things have changed. We live in a different world and their abilities to attack are increasing by the day

Right so if Iraq is our neighbor ... Based on distance ... The whole planet is our neighbor. How much of it do you want to defend and who should we defend first ???

I mean really, you posted something that makes me want to focus on U.S security and now you're spinning in circles and asking that I agree we should defend the world. Make up your mind. Who/where are the priorities ???

ETA: Sorry to remove your picture, but I've seen it and it was burned into my mind the day it happened. Where is Al-Qaeda ?? Possibly on the build up in the mountains of Afghanistan, was the last I heard.

Complete and utter horse ****. You need a history lesson. Perhaps you can start with the Iran coup in 1953, Iran-Iraq war, Operation Cyclone et. al.

Yeah, and you obviously dont know what youre talking about, so again, I will refer to my previous post. When youve gotten the slightest clue about what you just said, and how completely and utterly wrong it was, then come back here and we can talk.

Iraq will no longer be a part of that Islamic threat and will be more able to defend itself. This also Isolates Iran.

Get a grip
No body here cared about Iran or Iraq. Nobody thought US soil would be attacked.

Iran-Iraq War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
President Ronald Reagan decided that the United States "could not afford to allow Iraq to lose the war to Iran", and that the United States "would do whatever was necessary to prevent Iraq from losing the war with Iran."
Looks like they cared.

Keep it up, youre already off to a good start.
