Are you legally in the country ??

So last week our Governor pulls funding from Sheriff Joe's illegal immigration task force plan, and now we have this. I'll bet she is just livid over the ineffectiveness of stopping that funding

Phoenix police widen immigration enforcement

Phoenix police may now contact Immigrations and Customs Enforcement when they suspect a person to be in the country illegally, a shift in policy that is expected to increase the number of illegal immigrants deported from the state.

Chief Jack Harris announced new changes on Thursday to Operations Order 1.4, the police policy on immigration that previously prevented officers in most cases from asking about a person's citizenship status.

The policy has been a lightning rod for criticism from residents who want to see Phoenix do more to combat illegal immigration and helped foment the current recall effort against Mayor Phil Gordon.

Under the new policy, everyone arrested in Phoenix will be questioned about his or her citizenship. If an officer makes contact with someone who did not commit a crime but is still believed to be in the country illegally, the officer can give ICE that person's contact information over the phone or via a one-page form.

Ah, yes, another sanctuary city, finally wiping off the window in it's belly button so it can see where it is going. The best way to stop sanctuary cities? Cut off all federal funding. They will be delivering illegals with a a bow on top.

Phoenix is no sanctuary city.
Get your facts straight.

With Phil Gordan and an oblivious city council, I wouldn't be too sure.

True, but we sure don't coddle those who are here illegally ... Like a true sanctuary city does.

"When a mother goes out and happens to be pulled over, she's going to be referred to ICE. Or a father coming home from work is not going to return to his family that night. . . . It creates human suffering for the people involved. It's a vicious, inhumane attitude to brothers and sisters of the same human race."

That always grates me the wrong way. "human suffering" "inhumane attitude to brothers and sisters of the same human race"

The thing folks don't see is the careless and inhumane attitude when children leave their own mothers behind in the desert without food or water, often injured, and more lost than you can imagine... alone to die. Mother's leave their children and father's leaving their sons, only to later say, "Oh, we some people from the group two days ago." THEY don't seem to give a **** about "humane" treatment, or other humans suffering. My question is, why do the all of the sudden care about that once they get to Phoenix? It boggles my mind every time every time I hear it.

You're right but they like to walk both sides of the fence.

Agreed, and I find the following to be very true as well.

Well, the thing about Phoenix, and it tends to be more epidemic than others, is human trafficking. There is a _lot_ of human trafficking money flowing through that city. When that happens, people like to complain once it gets cracked down on, because they like the money it brings in, and they could care less about human suffering. One such person of note was actually in Laredo, all pro-illegal immigration and on and on. Well, she did time for chaining a little girl in her back yard to be her slave. So, yes, they do talk out of both sides of their "mouth" (mouth as in a hair lip). Now, if you listen to Mexico, they have no formal death penalty. However, if you piss off a federale there, you will dig your own grave. Our immigration laws are inhumane according to Mexico, however, if you are not from their country they will beat and rob you, and deliver you across to the U.S. Border and tell us to deal with it. If you examine their Southern Border there are mass graves of illegal immigrants from Central and South America who failed to pay off the right people. Yet, Mexico points the finger at the U.S. telling us how inhumane we are. The hypocrisy like week old diahreah, gets a little thick.
