Don't move to Californication

As if I needed another reason to NOT live in California:

And how does that concerns you? If a gay couple want to get married it's their choice and decision. You remind me of one of my friends who trashes gays yet none of them has ever done anything to her.

To me, it's actually a point in the state's favor.

This is a total non-issue. California may have it's problems, but I fail to see this as one of them.

Well, now companies in California will have to recognize this and change how they deal out retirement benefits. Not to mention health care plans. Somewhere I heard this will place even more burdon on companies financially and will give them even more reason to move their businesses abroad. And I must admit, I'm not happy with what they did to the California flag, and were parading around with them today:

Not all of us are gay, nor do we wish to be.

California Gay Flags

California's top court legalizes gay marriage - Yahoo! News

You can find pictures of them displaying it here:

They had better not even THINK about doing something like that to the United States flag. Or I'm going to be real pissed. It's bad enough they defaced a state flag.

Forget the fact that it was voted on by the people. Let's get a few non-elected judges to decide what is best for the people. Now that is democracy......................................... .........isn't it???????????????

It's going to be a nation-wide movement now. So it will be an issue. People of California voted NO on gay marriage. As you can see, votes and what the majority want doesn't count worth sh*t these days.

The problem isn't whether or not homosexual marriage is made legal. The problem is that the CA supreme court struck down a bill which would've forbade homosexual couples from "marrying" (they already have every privilege of marriage under CA law, just not the approbation by calling it something it can never be).

The implications are that the supreme court is in essence making laws which is something that they don't have the authority to do.

The legislation was approved with 61% of the vote.

ABC News: Calif. Court Overturns Gay Marriage Ban
Quote:
Proposition 22, which strengthened the state's 1978 one-man, one-woman marriage law with the words "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California," passed with 61 percent of the vote.
The implications are obvious. What's the point bothering to pass laws if activists judges can strike them down.

Every single one of those judges need to be removed by force of law and disbarred from practicing law.

Shame on you for spitting upon our Representative Republic by thinking that supreme court justices abusing their power is a good thing.

So, it's okay when government and the majority are oppressive as long as it's something you agree with? That's the American democratic-republic I guess.

If 61% voted to ban all guns in CA would it be okay since the majority voted for it, or would it be tyrannical?
