Firm agrees to penalties of $32.3 million in bribes probe | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle

Willbros Group, an engineering-construction firm with its administrative headquarters in Houston, has agreed to pay penalties totaling $32.3 million in connection with federal probes into violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, government officials said today.
The Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission allege that Willbros and some of its employees paid $6.6 million in bribes to government officials in Nigeria and Ecuador from 2003 to 2005 to secure lucrative contracts with state-owned energy companies.

I wrote to the newspaper and asked them when we were going to prosecute our government for taking bribes. That's what this amounts too.
