What's up with Obama's flag pin?

Have you noticed that Obama is now wearing a flag pin on his lapel? Remember what he said last year:

"The truth is that right after 9/11 I had a pin. Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we're talking about the Iraq war, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security. I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest. Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testament to my patriotism."

I wonder what has changed? What's that you say? No, Obama is not cynically pandering to blue collar voters in West Virginia and Missouri! How many times do I have to tell you racists that Obama is a new kind of politician?

Out of everything that could be discussed ... This pin just keeps surfacing .... I can think of a lot of other things that are much more revealing of an individuals character than a freak'n lapel pin.

I'm still waiting for the Hillary Pant Suit thread
Screw the fact that she has some very good socialist talking points ... The clothes she wears ... OMG

Perhaps his real reason for not wearing it is that he believes the pin is inaccurate with respect to the number of stars...

You seem to miss the point. This is actually quite revealing of BHO's character. He made a point of not wearing the pin. He explained at length that he thought the pin was a cheap symbol of false patriotism. Now all of a sudden he starts wearing a pin? Why is it now acceptable? He is now wearing the pin because he's a cynical pandering politician just like so many others. This is relevant because BHO has campaigned on the theme that cynicism is the real problem in America. Well look who's being cynical now?

This is different because Hillary has never claimed that by wearing a pantsuit she is demonstrating "true patriotism" as opposed to women who wear skirts. McCain has never claimed that wearing a sweater is a sign of "true patriotism."

Nope, didn't miss the point.
Join the MSM who now focus on a pin
The guy is smart. He might have even planted the retired veteran who presented the pin he now wears. Why ??? Real simple! People stopped talking about his church and his associations with Reverend Wright.
Marxist tendencies within the words being used .... Talk about the PIN ...... Health Care .... Talk about the PIN .......
OBAMA ... Talk about the pin.

Sure the pin has a point. I got that very clearly. The pin is a diversion

The pin is window dressing.

Pretty soon, you'll see Obama in small town American diners chatting it up with "prop" people wearing plaid shirts. Places you'd never see someone like him set foot in. You'll also see him doing outdoorsy things he has never done in his life...again...window dressing to make him look more appealing. Run Barry...run for the center...if only for a brief moment.

Bad thing is that there are just enough stupid, gullible souls that will buy this malarky. Proof positive that not only does the left think you're stupid and they court stupid people as a rule...but that they have to go way out of their way to make their candidates appear even half way like normal people to most of their voters.

...and they all want "change"
