The Democrats Sidle Up to the Second Amendment
Obama is not the same old cynical politician of years past and you're a racist if you claim otherwise!
We're All Gun Nuts Now During a campaign debate on April 16, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were asked if the District of Columbia's ban on gun possession, now facing a challenge before the Supreme Court, is constitutional. "I think a total ban, with no exceptions under any circumstances, might be found by the Court not to be. But I don't know the facts," said Clinton (Yale Law '73), dodging the question for the third and final time. Obama (Harvard Law '91) also pleaded ignorance, confessing he hadn't "listened to the briefs and looked at all the evidence." When moderator Charlie Gibson pointed out that Obama's handwriting was on a 1996 candidate survey that said he favored banning handguns, Obama flatly denied his writing was on the questionnaire, contradicting what a campaign staffer had told Politico weeks earlier. Asked if he still supports licensing and registering guns, Obama said he favors "common-sense approaches" to gun control like keeping guns from "the mentally deranged." When Clinton was asked if she maintains her past support for licensing and registration, she too sidestepped the question, saying, "What might work in New York City is certainly not going to work in Montana." |

I see he's practicing the grand presidential tradition of sticking his foot in his mouth. That makes him even more qualified for the job of emperor of Yankeestan.

You can see them mess their drawers everytime someone brings this issue up.

Under the reasonable restrictions argument it apparently does. No "Hunters and Sportsmen" in NY I guess.

Nope, she's from my hometown. Park Ridge, IL. That statement, BTW, does not indicate one little bit of pride that we went to the same schools and such. It's a VERY Republican place. I guess she lost her way at Wellsley in the 60's.

Not in Cook County, no way. Park Ridge borders Chicago. Nuff said there?
If in fact she did learn it was probably in more rural IL or Wisconsin.

Why don't they ask Obama about the legislation he co-wrote in Illinois called the "anti-poverty act" which will tax Americans nearly a TRILLION dollars in the next decade and give the money to the UN to decide where they should distribute it around the world... AND the small print reads that any nation signing on to this proposal will ban it's citizens from use of small arms... What one has to do with the other is beyond me.
