Seems Bill Clinton is speaking at the high school I work at and will be using the locker room that my office ajoins to as his staging area. Two local police and a secret service officer told me that I should not show up to work tomorrow morning as I wouldn't be allowed in my office until around lunch time. Sweet ... can't wait until my supervisor hears that I was told not to show by the the secret sevice!!!

I think you should show up and explain to Bill why you're voting for Obama. He'll probably agree with you.

Think I'll just kick it at home and wait for the circus to move on to the next town. My wife is planning to go see him speak. She saw him and the elder Bush speak at a convention in New Orleans and said he was a great speaker.

Thing I can't figure out and what I think might be a major pain in the butt for the secret service is he is speaking in our gym while school is going on. We're a campus of 2000 students .... the secret servie is sure going to be busy watching kids for about 3 hours. I was talking with our baseball coach/PE teacher who had no idea that he and other classes will not be able to access the building/locker rooms due to this. He and several other teachers are going to have to figure out what to do for half the day!!!

Just set my day back a couple hours. My wife went to the speech and was able to shake ol Bill's hand. She said it's obvious that this is a well oiled machine in terms of setting up for the visit, security, getting the crowd in place, speech, exit. Nary a hiccup is my wife's report. My co-workers said security was quite obvious, sharp, and professional.
