Yeah, dang those old people...what the heck do they know. Always telling me to be polite, work hard, save my money and help others...darned grandparents always on my case.

...he wait a minute...those are STILL good ideas even today.

Yes, youth IS wasted on the young.

I always believed that we should elect a president before the age of 18, while they still know everything!

Just dropping by...

Seeing how the topic of this thread is kinda in the breeze...

I'm 5'8" and 190 pounds. I'd like to get to about 160. Most of my baggage is on my gut, the reward of years of over eating and loving beer too much. I have no problem cutting down on portions and limiting beer intake, but after doing this plus months of walking to work (1.5 miles each way) and doing the salad thing, I'm not losing weight. If you lost your bulbuous gut, how did you do it?

Hey Son,
I'm just a shade under 5' 10" and 193. That's down from 223 a year and a half ago. I changed my diet drastically after my wife passed away, and walk 6 to 8 miles a night on my job.
I have no set goal weight, but would like to drop another 20.
If I can do it at 61, anyone can.

I look back and realize how very little I knew then.

I'm 6'0" and went from 185 to 150 in a couple of months by changing how I eat and adding regular exercise.

Walking isn't enough. Try circuit training and interval workouts.

Peace,
D.
Just wanted to apologize for intentionally pushing your buttons so to say. I know I can get a little riled up now and then. I think we both know how to do that well enough. I will do my best to discuss things with you in a more civil and less instigating way in the future, even when we disagree.

Here's to more friendly debates.

Cheers.
