In my opinion they are indeed the loony right. These people are truly dangerous though. The Fred Phelps bunch I mean. People who would do what they do, would go further I believe.

I was recruited at 18 and I'm damn glad I was. I spent 21 years in the military and some of my best memories come from my time in service. Even my deployment to Iraq has lots of awesome memories. I have also made many friends, learned several useful skills and developed important leadership abilities.

I was recruited and active USAF by age 17.

Hell no the recruitment office shouldn't pull out. They should follow these pansies to their houses and stand outside of them, exercising their own free speech rights. They should find out where these hippies work (although they probably don't work) and recruit their customers.

The Berkeley City Council should be run out of town for supporting these protests by waiving the permit fees.

Berkeley exists because the Marines exist. The real people of Berkeley should be down their giving coffee, donuts and thank-you's to the kids that want to join.

I never said it was wrong, I was giving the obvious answer to a particularly dumb question as to why the recruiters don't just give up and leave: if they did, they couldn't recruit and that's their job.
