Do you hold the idiotic belief that the only true and patriotic Americans are those who have served in the military? You post a lot of silly stuff, but you can't actually believe that, do you ??
I would be armed and fight if I felt that I was defending myself or those I care about. If San Diego was being attacked by invaders (not the ones from the south necessarily), or we were in a state of war, I might join a citizen militia.

It's possible that one also would feel compelled to arm oneself in the event of tyranny by one's own government.

Do you remember the part where it talks about treason...?
omg are you serious...

Quote:
Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

The Congress shall have power to declare the punishment of treason, but no attainder of treason shall work corruption of blood, or forfeiture except during the life of the person attainted.
i'd like to know how an actor - simply by being a communist - is guilty of treason.

i'm not defending communism, its completely opposite the principles of liberty. but in this country you have the right to be communist if you desire, but i dont see how the forcing of it upon me is in any way conducive to those same aforementioned princples.

by your same excuse any muslim is worthy of investigation.

how much do you like that constitution thingy???

No. Just some photos of people from the French Resistance.

My dad didn't serve in WWII because of some health issues, but his brother did. I have seen pictures of him from the war. He met and married my aunt while stationed in Italy. His son, my cousin, served in Vietnam and didn't come back in the greatest shape.

Sorry...I see how you may have been confused by this. I was referring to what McCarthy was actually doing (pointing out communist infiltration of the government....treasonous behavior)) as opposed to what some people fantasize about what he was doing (harassing Hollywood and ruining the lives of innocent people). I may have jumped around there......

McCarthy, and I, could care less if idiotic actors and screenwriters want to be commies, as long as they are not attempting to subvert the government. Everyone has the right to be stupid.

I think I'm done here, guys.......

I knew a guy who came back from nam. About three weeks after meeting him I was asked to pick the lock on his door. He had hanged himself in his closet.
