I stated that nobody had their reputations or careers unduly damaged or ruined. I can't produce 'nobody'. My debating skills, as meager as they are, seem to exceed your English comprehension skills. 'Nobody' isn't anybody........ Is this that hard ?

You seem to think there is a large body of innocent individuals slandered and maligned by the wicked Joe McCarthy. You should be able to produce one, if one exists.

I can't make much sense out of your second paragraph, except that you don't seem to know what you are talking about.

This is a commentary about your dismissal of a number of people who had their careers upset, ruined, etc., in a very unconstitutional manner by the McCarthy Witch hunts in his egomaniacal quest for power. I read your instructions to disregard these individuals but chose to ignore it because these people did, in fact, suffer greatly under the persecution of that paranoid freak. It also talks about the fact that these folks were not "voluntarily" blacklisted but were forced oput under threat of harassment of the entire Studio. Here, I have produced a number of "somebodies". Clear now?

Also, according to a review in the NY Times by a University of Texas professor, Goldberg's book is pretty one-sided in its criticism of fascism. There are liberal hawks, but the Republicans have got the militarism side of fascism down pretty good.

I guess it depends on who you ask. The term "fascism" has been used and abused out of meaning. I have seen one definition of it in the Universities and another within the political realm. The same with the term "racist" some people in the universities think that only "European-Americans" can be racist. I have always preferred historical or Latinate definitions over re-definitions.

Just like the break down of conservative principles in the republican party have blurred the lines between the true definition of "conservative".

This a figment of your imagination, drilled into your head by Hollywood movies, erroneous history books and fellow travelers. Who suffered at the hands of Senator McCarthy? Can you name anybody ? You have produced the same 'nobody' that I have. Joe McCarthy had next-to-nothing to do with the supposed blacklisting of people in Hollywood. His quest was to rid the federal government and federal payroll of communist party members and communist sympathizers. Would you agree that that was/is a good idea ?
