I don't have an answer for "why not" ... I was just trying to follow the thread and I found myself very confused because it really jumped from one topic to another. It appears you and Judge are really having a time going at one another ... carry on!

It sounds like Cindy McCain is like a lot of wealthy women who do volunteer work and give back to their communities. I certainly respect what she is doing.

It sounds like the health of both John and Cindy McCain is not that great. She takes blood pressure medication and had a stroke. He has had melanoma - twice I believe.

And, then there's the marital infidelity and him leaving his first wife because of her medical problems.

Surely marital infidelity is not a disqualifier for the office?
Then we would only have Obama left in the race, right? Never mind Kennedy, LBJ, on and on...

No, it doesn't disqualify one for the office. For me, it causes me to trust them less. People say, "It's their personal life. It doesn't impact the job." Maybe not, but I think it says something about character.
