i agree. the 16th amendment will continue to allow direct taxation of americans and their income, and you know it will continue to happen.

the federal government already "shall not infringe" on the second amendment, and they do that.

you think they're going to leave your income alone when they have the explicit power to ignore INCOME TAX as being a DIRECT form of TAXATION?

The key is a flat tax rate, whether it be a flat income tax or this sales tax. Part of the reason that taxes are so high is that politicians can convince 51% of the people that the burden of the tax will fall on someone else. That argument is a non-starter if everyone pays the same tax rate and it would become much more difficult to raise taxes.
