On Monday, May 5, by a vote of 30 to 4, the Missouri Senate passed House Bill 2034, authored by State Representative Brian Munzlinger (R-1). This measure makes a series of positive changes to various areas of Missouri's firearms statutes, including: sweeping and meaningful protections of shooting ranges and hunting preserves; liability protection for landowners allowing public hunting access; prohibiting the unlawful refusal to transfer a firearm by denying a sale to a person otherwise not prohibited from possessing a firearm under state or federal law; eliminating the six-month residency requirement in order to apply for a license to carry a concealed firearm; sealing "permit to acquire" concealable firearm records; allowing for the lawful manufacture, purchase and possession of firearm suppressors; and makes necessary revisions to existing statutes regarding the possession of explosives and felony possession of firearms.

This measure now goes back to the state House of Representatives for final consideration.

Please contact your State Representative TODAY and strongly encourage him or her to support the Second Amendment, and Missouri's time-honored hunting and sport shooting heritage by voting in favor on HB2034. You can find your State Representatives by clicking here.
I sure hope it passes the House, silencers for everyone!!!!!!!!

Oh God I hope this passes. I emailed my rep this AM with a nice letter encouraging him for the pass vote. The range protection is really important, especially as cases are lost because of noise complaints. My local club has development going up around it and even though it has been there 20+ years I can see when people start trying to get it shut down because they moved in the area. If we get suppressors legalized I am going to have to start a fund for one!

I've been hammering my rep on this. I believe it will pass, and send the Liberals on their merry way.

I am with you. I would be shocked to see it block by the House.

Wouldn't that be nice.
I could never quite understand the allowance of certain machine guns, yet the prohibition of suppressors.

I fired an e-mail to my rep. rep. and he said that he would support this bill. Is there a way to put a suppressor on an xd45 service without a barrel change? either way I'm gonna have to have one.

Barrel would have to be threaded and extended.

That was the only bummer of Missouri laws when I moved here.

I really hope this passes.

well, let's see if Blunt can get this through.
