Sounds neat, but it will never happen. Not with a liberal dominated Congress durring an election year. I would love silencers to be legal. My first purchase would be a Ruger .22 with an integrated silencer.

Must have misread this, I thought it was a national vote rather than a state vote. The problem is state law can not supercede federal law. So, I would avoid those silencers just yet, BATF will probably come looking for their pound of flesh.

It's a NFA class III item...No problem with the feds.

Well, you need to get the tax stamp. And what a lot of people fail to realize when you do that is that you are permanently on BATF's radar, and they reserve the right inspect your tax stamp item, and your weapons for any potential violations day and night. Just because a local legisture enacts a law saying a federally prohibited item is acceptable, does not negate the obligations under federal law. This is why I won't mess with a Class III license. There priorities under the control of the executive will change with each administration. It seems to open up the possibility of a gun grab.
