So you don't even know or understand waht you post, much less what I post That makes sense now... as to why you post the drivel you do, you simply don't understand what you or anyone else is saying. Ok. I'll spell it out for you.

Here is XD's post: <<I would tend to doubt the bolded if you look at the net worth overall of the U.S. This may have been true in the past but not today IMO. We're prosperous on funny money, not the real net of assets-liabilities= NW. We're in the red.>>

And here's what you said following XD's post: <<< And to further build on what XDConvert9mm has said, it is VERY hard to be considered the most prosperous country in the world>>>

You see, if you try to understand what you wrote, you echoed XD's post. And "funny money" is synonymous with 'fiat money'. I just assumed you had a high school econ course but I guess not.

Hint: If you don't agree with what someone says, don't echo their posts.... I love it when you beg me to refute your posts.. it takes all of 30 seconds. Thanks for making it consistently so easy.

duh.

Again Judge, refute my previous statements, if you can. The difference here is that one of us has a well founded thought out argument. The other has already resorted to personal attacks in this very thread. You do the math.

This is the BEST you can do? I listed SPECIFIC examples of things occurring in todays market. You still have yet to address my posts. Apparently, reading comprehension isnt your strong point, as NO ONE else but you has problems picking out what I build upon.

Here is my original post. Notice I say NOTHING about funny money or fiat money:

Federal Reserve: Homeowner Equity Falls Below 50%
The dollar at an all time low:
U.S. Dollar to Euro Exchange Rate - Yahoo! Finance
Oil prices at record highs:
Oil prices surge past $120 a barrel - Oil & energy - MSNBC.com
Again, refute the following two statements if its "so easy" to do. Apparently its not that easy, or you would have done it already.

My version of funny money, just to set the record straight, is working with credit and debt to become the most prosperous nation. If the stuff we have as a Nation were owned outright and paid for then I would agree with the description. Since we're nowhere even remotely close to that I see the U.S. as a debtor nation at this time. I hope this clears up the controversy over my post above.

I got that, but apparently Judge likes putting words in other peoples mouths.

I'm sure you did. That's the reason for the reply to Judge's post.

sorry to you both, but words actually have meanings.... and 'funny money' is basically counterfeit, phantom or fiat money - not real money.... they are all the same, and credit is not 'funny money'. It is borrowing, but the real money does come from somewhere.

You're both welcome to use google.

But if you're gonna use words, don't expect others to take them for anything else other than their common and clear meanings.

and my generation has no effective leaders.
where is our FDR
where is our Chesty Puller
where is our Martin Luther King, Jr.

the kids ( i used that term on purpose) o fmy generation, are so caught up with instant gratification, are caught up so far in themselves that we have lost sight of where we need to be.
we have lost out identity, but instead have been hashed out into screen names, cable bills and internet gaming handles.
who are we anymore?
what are we?
leaders, no.
followers who tend to go along with who ever spoke last, yes.
blinded by the thought of getting our name in the paper, yes
drawn into the middle class America trap, yes

for too long we have overlooked the need to help form our 'more perfect union' and instead have focused on a want to form brief pleasure unions with other, with no thoughts of the consequences that they can produce, the emotional, physical damage that these can cause.
we are no longer citizens of the US, we are the citizens of ME

we need to break out consumerism lifestyle and start thinking about the future--i have
i have paid off all my debt and have enlisted-- i should be shipping late summer......

you keep using that one quote about currency, but you fail to post it in context... what's the next clause/sentance in that post??

What do you have against quoting somethign in context?? Oh, I know, it's called an aversion to the truth...

For someone who dodges things repeatedly, youre not one to preach about adversion to the truth.

And the currency has nothing to do with it... all major nations have fiat currency - it's irrelevant, it's just a convenient medium of exchange
Thats your complete sentence. Youre still wrong.

What do you have against refuting my previous statements? Oh, thats right, you cant. Adversion to the truth? Yeah, I wouldnt use that line again, especially with your penchant for false statements.

Again, all high and mighty Mr. Economist, refute my statements. Youre going on 5 or 6 posts of dodging now. Please, just do it if its:
