Who would REALLY make the best President?????

I have seen the results that yanking chains have brought in this forum. Several are quick to criticize and dismiss, but when a valid point is made many just give up the debate and go on to criticize somewhere else. In the end I wonder if they just stare at the screen, nod in agreement, and stick their head back in the sand. Specifically I am talking about Ron paul, because it is my opinion that not only do I believe that he is by far the lesser of the evils, but he genuinely wants to help this country succeed. So my challenge to you is, Please make a case as to why the candidate you are voting for would make a better POTUS than Ron paul. If nothing else convince me to change my vote and see the light. Because I only want to make this country better, not kill it slower.

ok..this answer is going to sound smart-ass...but its my honest answer. I think the best president would be someone who doesn't want the job. Someone who isn't so obsessed with party power that they'd do anything to get it, no matter how bad they hurt the country. I've said before, and i'll keep saying, that the framers of the constitution never intended politics to be a career. Anyone who wants a job in politics should automatically be barred and we should pick the president via lottery from the citizenry. can't be any worse than what we've had to deal with for the last umpteen years...

Thus my vote would go towards Colin Powell.

Ron Paul will be like Ross Perot. In a few years we as a country will look back and say "he was right" on a few things. I understand where the OP is coming from but RP doesn't have a chance.

One things is for certain the next 6 months are sure going to be entertaining as we wittle down three people to one who are crazy enough to want the job!

OK, fair enough. But what happens when the "few" things he was right on was Immigration Control, the War in Iraq, Freedom, and Rights.
