I started this thread seeking opinions and ideas on who should be the next President, not dismissal. Please explain WHY it is that you can't stand listening to him, or his "followers", and why you are going to vote for your candidate. Please explain how you can be happy with the current system of government, the liberties you've lost, the taxes you pay, and our foreign policy or any other topic related.

for one, the high capacity handgun ban of '94, the fact that you can only own the gun that fits the gubmint criteria. Yeh we got that one back, but
it came at an election year to shore up gun owner votes. The fact that you can own a handgun but you have to jump thrugh a bunch of hoops and ask for permission if you want to be able to carry it and defend yourself, but only if you are fortunate enough to live in a state that allows it at all. But lest we forget about the good old Patriot Act. And thats only a few.

Yes, I know that ccw is a state law. But the point is that if we elect someone who will offer a real and better change and not just feed us more crap and tell us it's a steak, then maybe the people that we elect will get the hint and if they don't they will also get canned because this country won't stand for it anymore.

OK I believe that I have answered your question so if you would kindly explain who you will be voting for in the general election and why they would make a better president than Ron Paul. I am genuinely interested.

You haven't answered anything. I want to know the liberties that I have lost. You haven't named one! Also, you mentioned the Patriot Act. Do you even know what it is, or what it does? Be careful what your answer is, as I am someone who utilizes the Patriot Act everyday in my line of work...

Hmm...well I am not a lawyer but to me the patriot act seems to grant whole lot of power law enforcement under the guise of "terrorism" without having to have hardly any proof of a threat. Since you "utilize" the Patriot Act every day then I would have to assume that you yourself violate other citzens civil liberties by using surveillance without a court order, by search someones home or business without their knowledge or consent, gain access to an individuals financial information without a court order. But wait there's more, you can detain an "immigrant" (read citizen) until you decide to accept them as a citizen and release them.

If I remember correctly we are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law by a jury of our peers, and our government is supposed to see that our rights are not infringed upon BY PEOPLE LIKE YOU. You should have to provide more evidence than "he used the word 'bomb' when he was talking to his alleged girlfriend on the phone".

So either you are happy with our current government system. Or you just can't really find enough wrong in my candidate to justify a good argument, and resort to threats.

I still haven't heard who you are voting for. Sounds like Obama to me.
