Yes, well I believed that was the point of the article I posted....at least as I understood it. Which is why I've said twice (three times now) in this thread that I am "in the dark", and maybe, as you seem to imply, that's the whole point....we are all supposed to be "in the dark".

Still....despite the secretive nature of this meeting, the meeting itself has been no secret. So this too seems more than a bit odd. It's not as if government meetings don't take place with real secrecy.

Hell, it seems Dick Cheney's day to day whereabouts have been mostly a secret for six and a half years or so.

Love, hate or feel complete ambivalence about this administration, one thing seems fairly apparent......forthcoming they ain't.

I don't remember any forthcoming administration in my lifetime, and there probably weren't any for a while before that. I don't subscribe to the hardcore conspiracy theories, but I think our government knows about, participates in, and sets in motion things that we should be glad we don't know about. I lost pretty much all faith in our government on 19 April 1995.
