April 30 (Bloomberg) -- Parts of North America and Europe may cool naturally over the next decade, as shifting ocean currents temporarily blunt the global-warming effect caused by mankind, Germany's Leibniz Institute of Marine Sciences said.

Average temperatures in areas such as California and France may drop over the next 10 years, influenced by colder flows in the North Atlantic, said a report today by the institution based in Kiel, Germany. Temperatures worldwide may stabilize in the period.

I don't know what to say.

It seems like either scientists really just don't know what to think, jumped on the global warming bandwagon too fast, or are trying to make up an excuse that still holds to the model of global warming.

Remember El Nino and La Nina? That was only a fluctuation in the ocean temperature of a degree or two and only in the Pacific Ocean.

Seems like for every 'answer' some scientists give they just end up making more questions.

Why do you think the environmental climate crisis du jour has evolved from Global Climate Cooling, to Global Climate Warming, to Global Climate Change since the 1970s?

Nothing helps free up research funding like a good crisis!

Translation: "Even if temperatures decrease, global warming is still happening and we must strangle any possible economic growth potential. We get our funding from the government so we must be smarter than you. You are obviously too uneducated to understand that falling temperatures are definite proof of global warming."

So does this mean it'll be 40-50 years instead of 30-40 years from now when those of us who are left will be eating each other?

It's because of ice melting in the polar icecaps that is causing the oceans to get colder.
