More of the same "Clash of Civilizations" stuff. Why do supposed "Christians" choose to divide the world like this and preach hate of a certain religion?

The things that you are referring to are acts committed by radicals.

I personally wouldn't want to belong to a church that claims to be Christian yet chooses to divide and demonize one of the world's major religions that has mostly peaceful adherents.

this isn't about Christianity vs Islam and you know it.

It's about Liberty vs Oppression. It's about the freedom to worship as you choose and not have to worry about being blown up, or have your head cut off for it.

With all due respect answer the question posted by Etta. It's my opinion that you read too much into her reply. read her comment .... reflect on it and try to take the emotion out of your answer.

Of course we do not condone what you ask above. The assertion is ridiculous ..... for our culture and our way of life.

Yes, I think that Islam can not claim to be a religion of peace based on what is written in the Quran. More telling actually is the relatively lack of vocal response to things that are apparently against the tenets of Islam like suicide bombings that have happened for 30 years and have been embraced by so called Islamic purists (Al Qaeda).

There is also the possbility that one needs to interpret that book much as the Bible based on and in the context of the times it was written. Context is absolutely critical in interpretation otherwise one can make any written thing match what they have to say.

Call them radicals if you will, because they are. However the majority of Islam seems to support the Radicals. CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations has been donating money to Hamas, and Hezbolha.....This is a group in the USA that is suposedly Moderate Islamic people....Yet its leaders are convicted of donating money to Islamic terrorists...

Spend any time in the Middle east, and you will learn differnetly. Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Saudi, and others I have seen first hand that the Muslims in those countries support the Terroists, like Al-Q, Hamas and Hezbolha....

I don't think it's a hate of religion, but more a hate of a radical form of a religion.

Is it really wrong to say that you hate radical Islam? A religion that routinely manipulates people to blow themselves up in the name of Jihad to kill civilians.

Wouldn't you say that you hate certain types of religion as well?
