Haven't we already seen what a group of this type can do with time, ideals and funding? I agree with JGB that the Radicals in this group would like nothing better than to see this country completely wiped off the map. They've been taught from birth that we as a society are the Great Satan that needs to be destroyed by any means possible.

I have no problem with you saying this. What I do have a problem with is those who look the other way as the silent invasion continues. I especially have a problem with this when it is coupled with the fact that we apprehend less than 10%, by ICE estimates, of those who sneak into this country, and that some of the 90% we ignore have close ties to the radical muslims we speak of.
So what's the difference ?? One group wants to come here and do harm to individuals and the other wants to come here and do harm to individuals. One chooses to blow themselves up in the process, while the other group kills/rapes/steals property and identity .... Yet you see it as OK to eradicate Radicals without also eradicating those who cross the border illegally.
Correct me if I am wrong, but they both do illegal things. The reasons might be different, but they still do illegal things and people get hurt.

Ridiculous is all in how you want to look at things.

Myself, I think it is ridiculous to fight/kill a group of people who are hard to identify and claim it makes this country more secure ... When a red carpet welcome mat has been placed so those who want to sneak in ... Don't get lost, and are very easy to identify as they cross the border.

As I see it (and I don't share your experience in dealing with them directly), Islamic radicals have common goals that include eliminating all of those that don't follow their perverse interpretation of Islam. I believe that they view this entire situation in the world as an 'us versus them' battle, and as such, they have successfully created this war that will likely continue for many generations. Whether we are in a country or not is irrelevant to them. Whether Obama wins or McCain or Clinton...they don't care. These issues don't change their goals and they don't change their dedication in achieving these goals.

I would agree that the activities in Iraq and Afghanistan affect them. We are killing many of them, which creates an odd result of both hurting them and helping them. They are hurt because they are losing fighters and spending money to fight us. But they are using these same activities to recruit more fighters and get more money. But I consider the latter a propaganda campaign to get both money and recruits. If we left tomorrow from both countries, they would not change their goals...IMO. They want us dead, no matter where we are and no matter whether it's men, women, or children. Since we don't subscribe to their ideology, we must be killed.

We've got a multi-front war going on. One of them has our government's full attention. And the other is being intentionally ignored...which really pisses me off. Both wars are important for us to fight and win. Yet we appear to have gone in with guns blazing on one of them and raised the white flag on the other without firing a shot. It just makes no sense to me at all.

Show me where I have ever misquoted you. Ever! It should quite easy. Just find one post where I quoted you, furnish your original text showing where I changed it, and we're done. Imagine how many potential terrorists are in this country right now because of the white flag attitude.

But don't contemplate doing what the government will not ... You will be labeled an extremist ... Kind of like those who wish to do us harm.

Perhaps JGB is right.
