A deacon in our former church gave a sermon on the first or second 9/11 anniversary. He essentially said that our reaction after being struck was wrong and that we should follow in the steps of Jesus...show them kindness and compassion, turn the other cheek, etc. Unlike Obama, I don't sit and listen to stuff like that. I stood up with my kids and walked out, along with several families that followed me.

Well I might have given your deacon a break. Not many realize the radical Muslims mindset. Unless you have studied it, or witnessed it in war you truly don't have an idea of what they are capable of. I have done both, and it truly is kill or be killed when dealing with them. There is no in between, and there is no negotiating with them either. As soon as the majority of Americans realize that, we might stop being so politically correct and start acting like the strong Americans we once were.

I'm intelligent enough to recognize a dodge when I see it, But that's OK. I didn't suggest that our involvement in the ME justified such actions, but in part may cause them.

That is a major assumption, one with which I disagree. Religion is a major factor in the conflicts in Middle East countries - and other countries as well. But I have no fear whatsoever that radical Islamic terrorists are going to take over the United States. They represent a very small threat to my way of life.
