Gore's nutty idea
Gore proposed last week that the United States "commit to producing 100 percent of our electricity from renewable energy and truly clean carbon-free sources within 10 years."

Not just all new electricity, mind you, which would be challenging enough. But all existing electricity, too.

Really, how much damage can he do to our country after the last 8 years. or at least the next four with the alternative. I haven't read everything about him but from what i have read he makes valid points. I dont agree with everything he says but i agree more with him than I do with the rest. All I'm sayin is we are "supposed" to pick from A,B,OR C but this one time, we have the opportunity to actually make history, and maybe, just maybe make this country a little bit better.
Won't work. Too many pussies unwilling to take a chance on change. Too many preprogrammed sheep. They've been fed so much BS by the media and the government they can no longer think for themself's anymore. I see it everytime I come to this forum. They mostly live in fear of the democrat's and have not a clue as to what the rebub's can do to destroy things in America. Neither party represents America anymore but they refuse to believe it because they have been blinded by their own stupidity and the stupidity of others.

Anything I missed?

Hate on Obama / Hillary / McCain all you want, at least they are all somehow grounded in reality (to varying degrees). Ron Paul is just... beyond words.
1. they are building this highway. do research before you declare Ron Paul, a presidential candidates statements, bullsh!t
2. We arent part of the UN
3. Cant say i agree with that.
4. He doesnt want to abolish it altogether, simply put the money we're paying out of pocket back into better use, and so it can be accounted for.
5. NAU, North American Union. Its being passed around in congress as we speak, and supposedly has already been signed off on, as well as the Amero, (American, canadian, mexican, south american) version of the Euro.

Do some research before you talk badly on a man who goes against the grain. Stop getting all your news off CNN.

sorry to start a thread and bail. Alright, to defend as best I can.
1. sperhighway--- what do you think they would have said 30 years ago if someone said that we would all have these wonderful little televisions to type on and communicate to each other without any wires or anything. My point is that anything is possible, we already have lots of big highways that run every direction in this country but you still have customs to deal with. Whats one more highway, who can afford to drive anywhere anymore anyway.

2.we arent in the un, he just still dosent want to sign over our country that our forefathers fought so bravely to earn. They did it for themselves and for you and me. It's ours lets keep it.

3. Iraq.....this is a cluster$&ck I hate to see us just leave as well, but only because I don't want the fallen soldiers efforts to be in vein. I don't care anymore about iraq than they do me!!

4. IRS and Fed reserve--Not extremely versed in this area, but my opinion is that I don't like paying taxes any more than anyone else. are they necessary? I think so. To the degree that they are now? no. WAY TOO MUCH OVERHEAD. We are getting a tax rebate check but they're not cutting anything back. If the government just cuts back on all extra crap that they are forcefeeding us we wouldn't need a rebate check, because we would have paid less in taxes to begin with.

5. The shadowy alliance---If it ever came to be that these people do exist and really want to do this, How good would It be to have ron Paul as your POTUS. A person that wants nothing more than to restore this countries rights, freedoms, and liberties the same way that it was intended to be.

When I talked to my friends 4 years ago I tried to convince them to vote for Kerry (I was blind) but they refused because the "democrats want to take away their guns." Well here's the thing, the president IS only one man he can't all by himself ruin the country. There is also only one Ron Paul. Congress will still be made mostly of dems. and reps. They will still carry the weight, but at the end of the line There will be at the very least a man who truly loves this country and wants what is best for its citizens.

As for this post...

PHP Code:
In 1992 I chose "option D" (Ross Perot), and that decision

(by me and millions of like-minded disenchanted folksresulted in the
 presidency of William Jefferson Clinton
elected by 43of the voters

Perot took 18.9of the voters in 1992the most by a Third Party candidate
since Teddy Roosevelt
, and his Bull Moose Party in 1912 (the elections that brought
Woodrow Wilson into the White House
).

In retrospect, if GHW Bush had won re-electionthings would probably be very
different today
.

It will take a lot to convince me to vote a third party candidate againeven as
legitimate protest vote
unless Im pretty certain doing so would NOT result in the
greater of two evils getting elected

My only answer is that its this type of negative thinking that will eliminate the
possibility of him(or someone like him) ever getting elected.

The only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. You have to start somewhere.
If you don't try you can't do it. I really hope you and everyone else thats fed up find it
within yourself to "waste" your vote on Ron Paul.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Soapbox down...

I too feel that would be a big help...Pick just one day, and all primary voting is done that day....No states out comes could influance another state. No canidate dropping out before a state could vote for them.

There's no question in my mind that the United States spends too much on the military - whatever they're spending it on!!
